The $30 million Sport and Recreation Facilities Recovery Program will provide funding to sport and recreation organisations to undertake rebuilding and repair to sport and recreation facilities impacted by the North and Far North Tropical Low, commencing 29 January 2025 event.
Assistance measures will include:
- support for initial scoping of repair and rebuilding works
- program administration support for clients
- delivery of the funding assistance within a robust grants program framework.

Funding acknowledgement
The $30 million Sport and Recreational Community Facilities Recovery Program is jointly funded by the Australian and Queensland Governments under the Disaster Recovery Funding Arrangements (DRFA) Category C, to support Queensland communities in their recovery from the North and Far North Tropical Low, commencing 29 January 2025 event.
