Resilient Australia Awards

Recognising and celebrating resilience

The Resilient Australia Awards celebrate and promote initiatives that build whole-of-community resilience to disasters and emergencies around Australia, as well as images capturing resilience in action.

Proudly sponsored by the Australian Government in partnership with states and territories, and managed by the Australian Institute for Disaster Resilience (AIDR), the awards recognise outstanding contributions across seven categories: Community, Business, Local Government, Government, School, Mental Health and Wellbeing, and Photography.

In addition to disaster response and recovery, successful past projects have centred on a wide range of focus areas, including risk assessment and mitigation, mental health improvement, education, training and research, and community engagement.

The Queensland Resilient Australia Awards are delivered by Get Ready Queensland, the Queensland Government’s all hazards disaster awareness program, in partnership with the Australian Institute for Disaster Resilience.

The Queensland awards event is hosted by Get Ready Queensland each year, with state and territory winners considered for national awards and benefitting from Australia-wide exposure through a range of communication channels.
